2013年3月13日至3月17日，在Mr·Jay Harley的带领下，美国达拉斯浸会大学（以下简称DBU）女子排球队来我院进行交流访问。代表团共25人，其中运动员17名，学校管理人员8人。此次友好访问是2012年10月DBU管理层相关人员访问我院并和我院签署了合作交流备忘录后的两校间的第一次友好交流活动。
3月14日上午，学院在会议中心召开了欢迎会。会议由程明亮书记主持，何向东院长致辞，对DBU师生表示热烈欢迎，并介绍了我院的办学情况和发展状况。DBU领队Mr·Jay Harley在发言中表达了对本次访问的成功和圆满表示期待。
会后，在何院长及国际交流与合作处处长张莉等人的陪同下，DBU一行参观了美术学院、影视学院、校史展览馆、高尔夫球场。他们对育才学院美丽的校园、先进的教学设备、浓厚的文化氛围赞不绝口。
3月14日下午，DBU师生走进外语学院，亲身体验了一次由曾弘彦等4位老师中国教师授课的英语课堂。内容丰富多样、课堂气氛活跃是本次活动的主要特点。中国教师扎实的专业知识和良好的素养给DBU师生留下了深刻的印象。
本次访问活动给DBU师生留下难忘记忆的是太极、武术和书法体验。3月14日下午， DBU队员跟随体育老师陈荣浩及武术代表郝春晖学习太极拳。太极拳优美的姿态、独特的步法、中国武术的阳刚与爽气让美国学生大开眼界。

3月15日上午，他们在行知楼书法训练室跟随文学与新闻传播学院廖丹教师学习书法。在了解了书法的渊源和基本知识后，DBU学生在中国师生的指导下拿起了毛笔，学习了“中”、“美”、“友好”4个中国汉字。中国文化的博大渊源、汉字的独特构形和汉语的精微妙意让美国师生惊叹不已。

3月15日下午，排球友谊赛在学院体育馆拉开了序幕。由于双方队员势均力敌，比赛前两局以平局告终，在混合打的最后一局，中美球员配合默契，共同为观众奉献了一场精彩的友谊赛。美国队员精湛的球技、中国队员拼搏的精神给大家留下了深刻的印象。

3月15日晚的交流舞会把整个活动推向了高潮。美国外教Cameron·Philip Parham 与我院学生杜悦主持，舞会尚未开始，DBU师生便奔向舞台中央，和着音乐欢快地跳起了舞。接下来，中国少数民族舞蹈窜烧拉开晚会序幕，竹竿舞、美国达拉斯牛仔舞、小游戏踢毽子等环节让中美学生打成一片，他们的开朗、活泼、青春的身姿感染了在场的每一个人。

DBU女子排球队本次来校访问活动取得圆满成功。这次活动开启了育才学院加强校园建设、推动国际交流与合作、开展国际教育、促进国际化进程，提升学院声誉的新篇章，同时也加深美国青年对中国和育才的了解以及中美青年之间的友谊。对推动师生主动参与国际交流与合作，拓宽国际视野，将产生积极的影响。
活动最后，DBU师生对我院表示衷心的感谢并指出，我院的精心安排和组织，好学风和浓郁的文化氛围，广大师生的热情好客给他们留下了非常深刻的印象。领队Mr·Jay Harley说他带领DBU各运动队访问过十几个国家，但育才给他们留下了最美好的印象，此次访问将使DBU得队员们终身对中国和育才怀有一份特殊的感情。
